Water passes through the open-fiber layer first to capture larger debris, then reaches the dense-fiber layer that traps finer particles for cleaner, clearer aquarium water.

Suitable for freshwater, reef and saltwater aquariums, the pad can be fitted to wet-dry filters, sumps, canister filters, aquaponic systems and turtle tank filters.
