Its sectional galvanized-steel construction has a rust-resistant coating, a 1.25-inch base that tapers to a universal 1-inch top, and a heavy-duty screw auger for secure placement in firm soil.

The included universal flange accommodates birdhouses and feeders using either mounting orientation. At its base height, the installed pole stands nearly 5 feet above ground when driven to the marked alignment line. Extended versions raise the installed height to nearly 6 or 7 feet.
