This rabbit litter box kit pairs a mouse-gray Petmate litter pan with a galvanized, tightly woven mesh screen that sits directly on the litter. Urine passes through into a confined area of absorbent litter, while droppings remain on top for easier daily removal.

The screen helps keep unused litter from mixing as readily with wet litter, droppings, and pieces of hay. It can also make cleanup more manageable for rabbits that dig or spend time eating hay in their litter box.

Specifications

• Kit contents: Petmate litter pan and a direct-contact litter screen; this is not a raised screen.
• Medium pan: 15 inches long × 12 inches wide × 4 inches high. Large pan: 18.5 inches long × 15 inches wide × 5 inches high.
• Pack formats: one, two, or three kits in either Medium or Large size. Litter pan color: mouse gray.
• Use thick absorbent litter such as soft paper bedding, paper pellets, or wood pellets. Sheets of paper and pee pads underneath the screen are not recommended because the screen will not work well with them.
• For mineral buildup, soak the screen in vinegar for a few minutes and rinse it with water afterward. Do not leave vinegar on too long because it can remove the wire's galvanization and shorten the screen's life.
• For a larger rabbit, a Rex breed, or a rabbit that spends time in the litter box, place a little hay over the screen to help protect the feet.
