This high-potency coarse parrot food gives medium to large parrots a year-round formula suited to daily feeding. It is especially suited to African greys, cockatoos, large conures, eclectus, macaws and pionus.
All birds should begin with High Potency Formula and remain on it for at least six months. After this conversion period, other species may move to Adult Lifetime Formula as directed.
Key Features
- The coarse grind is intended for medium to large parrots, giving appropriately sized birds a formula matched to their feeding needs.
- Its year-round formula keeps everyday feeding consistent instead of requiring seasonal changes for the listed parrot species.
- It can be fed during molting and periods of high activity, making it useful when a bird's routine or energy demands change.
- Weaning birds should receive the formula for at least six to nine months, providing a clear timeline for this important growth stage.
- Breeding birds can start the formula one to two months before breeding and continue until their chicks are weaned, simplifying feeding plans through the breeding cycle.
- Fresh food should be served daily as distinct meals rather than topping off yesterday's portion, supporting a cleaner routine and reducing waste.
